References by Current Maple Ridge Puppy Owners

We  believe one of the best references we can give you about the health and quality of our dogs is also the best compliment a breeder can ever receive ..... when a  family comes back to us to add a second Maple Ridge dog =8-)  And, we are proud to share  these letters and photos we have received from our many happy, healthy,  Maple Ridge Golden puppies and their owners.  ENJOY !

Meet Max and Sophie (& 2 more of  their Maple Ridge buddies, too!)

Brad writes, " Our puppies are great!  We are at the beach 3 x per week. Max will start squeaking as soon as we are on the beach road, and Sophie plays back up.  We have to spell the word  G O   now because they get really excited.  I'm beginning to think they can spell too. They are great swimmers and love running in the sand.  Vet says they look great and loves their personalities.  We have a great family!  Thanks for breeding such great dogs :-) "
Brad is one of many Maple Ridge Puppy Owners who have referred friends and family to us for a puppy.   In the photo at left, are  FOUR  Maple Ridge kids -- Max & Sophie (same dogs as the photos just above), with friend's Maple Ridge dog " Wiley," and sister-in-law's dog "Wrigley."

This handsome guy is "Truman"  -

Truman was born in 2005 ... stay tuned for future news about this little gentleman :-)

 "Kathy,

Greetings!  Truman, as you know, is now a little over 4 months old. He has completed his puppy shots and the vet says he is in excellent health.  Truman has fit well into our family. Truman is also fun to train!  He has now completed a month of puppy kindergarten and is progressing extremely well.  He easily follows the commands of sit, down, stay, stand, and come, and does well with "Leave It" (most of the time :-)  The place we are taking Truman for training participates in AKC training programs so we plan on taking Truman as far as we can with those.

In puppy kindergarten a couple weeks ago, the trainer brought in an adult dog who, she indicated, was extremely intuitive in assessing a dog's level of dominance and could adjust her "approach" to a dog based on that intuition.  The dog went around the room to all the puppies and happened to come to Truman last.  She approached all the other dogs in the room either dominantly or submissively, but approached Truman as an equal.  Based upon that encounter and her observations of Truman in this class of about 12 dogs, the trainer has advised us that Truman's temperament is "exceptional".  Both the trainer and the assistant have told us that Truman is not hyper like many Goldens seem to be.  He truly is well bred and we thank you for providing us with such a wonderful family member!  Of course, we get many compliments on how beautiful a Golden he is, as well.

Kevin"

Meet "Parker "

In 2005, Parker's owner writes us:

Meet "SAM" (left) and "GUS" (right) and their best friends ...

"Kathy,

We can't thank you enough for allowing us to have Gus and Sam.  Gus and Sam are quite a twosome - they have such fun together.  Sam is obsessed with tennis balls.  Even if we aren't playing with him, Sam makes up his own game with a couple of tennis balls. Then walks around with both balls in his mouth :-)  In this crazy world we live in, there is something about a dog's calmness and loyalty that makes you realize it truly is the little things in this life that make a difference.  - Marilyln "

"Dear Kathy,

Mary Claire wanted Gus to be a witch with her on Halloween - the boys informed her that boys are not witches!  Needless to say, we compromised and Gus became a warlock for Halloween.  We're not sure how Gus felt about all of this, but he did sit long enough for us to get this photo in his warlock costume.  He has been a wonderful puppy!

       Marilyn"
