CONGRATULATIONS !!!
This is " Maple Ridge's Max." He is a Delta Society Certified Therapy Dog in the Delta Society's Pet Partners Program =8-) He's also a handsome, fluffy, happy-go-lucky, calm guy. Max puts the warmth and glow in Dianne and Bill's heart. He's a friend to everyone he meets. He loves to do all those things any dog loves, eat ! (ha :-), walks, car rides, and play times with Dianne and Bill. But he's especially "good" at helping others feel better when he's doing Therapy Dog visits , too! We are thrilled to see Max's wonderful "Golden" temperament is recognized, and we feel 'oh so blessed' to know he gives comfort and joy to everyone during Max's pet therapy visits. Yes! Max is yet another of our very special Jazz x Beamer kids who continue to make us so very proud of these Maple Ridge dogs and their owners for sharing Maple Ridge Goldens' talent for unconditional "LOVE" :-) Max is a littermate brother to "Taz" (on this Brags page, above). And, two more littermates live here at Maple Ridge with us, "Elvis" and "Annie." All of them have beauty, brains, and great big hearts ready to love, and be loved =8-) They broke the mold when Jazz was created ... and she's passing along her best in these kids. Proud? You bet we are !!
P.S. Dianne and Bill have a second dog from Maple Ridge, "Jakota," (see the photo below) and he is also in training for pet therapy work. Stay tuned for updates on these kids. Pet Therapy is a wonderful way to share that special "True Golden Temperament" with someone who needs a canine hug and a 'Golden' smile. The heart and soul of a Golden is bigger than the universe -- just ask any of our Maple Ridge puppy owners :-) Much deserved Kudo's go to Dianne and Bill, for providing the loving environment, training, and time necessary to see these boys become wonderful certified Therapy Dogs, too !!!! THANK YOU !!! I'm sending BIG GRANDMA HUGS !!! to my babies from Grandma Kathy - SMOOCH ♥ :-)

Rick and " Maple Ridge April Breeze, CD, CDX " - "April " In 2002, Rick and April continue to impress the judges, taking 1st place Open A in back to back shows held August 24 & 25, 2002 to finish April's CDX (Companion Dog Excellent) obedience title. In fact, she was the only!! dog to qualify on August 25th - even in wet rainy conditions - she showed her stuff! She just turned two years old August 15th - what a Birthday Present - a new title! Just a few short months ago, April finished her CD (Companion Dog) obedience title in fine style in November 2001 - AND!! at only 15 months old! Rick says April loves this stuff and in every AKC event she competed in for her CD title, she was the youngest entry there. Rick tells me he and April are discussing what their next goal will be. He says they will prepare for Utility Dog competition next. Folks, if you haven't yet seen a Utility Dog event - you should go to the next AKC Dog Show in your area. These dogs are highly trained and a joy to watch compete at this level. But most of all - April is a much loved "kid" to her human parents =8-) Best wishes April and Rick! (April is a Beamer x Jazz baby - and is typical of the "looks AND brains" produced by her proud sire and dam.) Ability and beauty are in the genes here at Maple Ridge - but practice and training time by Rick, wife Beth, and April are what made the titles a reality ! Whoohoo!! Way to Go Rick and April !!
Brooke and "Maple Ridge Dixie Flower" - "Dixie" placed 1st in 3-6 Mo. Puppy Class (bitches) and also won Best of Breed at a Sanctioned B Match. Way to Go !!! (Dixie is a Dakota x Scarlet baby and possesses that " I Love You " attitude so characteristic of her proud sire and dam here at Maple Ridge.) Brooke is also working on obedience and agility training with Dixie, as they enjoy practicing and having fun together. Thanks Brooke for your love, time, and training with Dixie! You both look Great !!
Maple Ridge Kasey Keating, CGC - Whoohoo!~~~ Kasey celebrated his first birthday and his new CGC title in 2005 -- Way to go Guy !!! Kasey's human parents .. wrote to us, "Kasey did very well on each of the CGC tests and passed without a problem. He has been a lot of fun and is very smart - he has a big smile on his face all the time =8-) " He looks wonderful ... obviously well loved, and it shows :-)
Congratulations to his human parents, and of course ... to Mr. Kasey himself ... CGC now =8-)
Our own "Mitchells Misty Morgan" - "Morgan" reigned here at Maple Ridge (she was known around here as the Queen Bee!) and received her Senior Golden Ribbon at the 1999 Veterans Meeting for WRGRC members. Morgan would have celebrated her 13th birthday July 1, 2003. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge in March 2003 (July 1, 1990 - March 6, 2003). Morgan was our first Golden, and the one who showed us what great Golden Temperament is all about. Although she never competed in an AKC event, she knew she had won our hearts forever. We are sure that one day, we'll be together again... when we meet again on Rainbow Bridge for forever and beyond.
